Patient Reviews for Marvin H Lucas, MD
Baffled By This Man's Impatience And Inability To Listen. My Previous Dr. Understood People's Chemistry---what Worked For One, Didn't Necessarily Work For All, The Former Dr. Understood Differences In Drugs Especially The Difference Between Very Effective Simple Solutions Vs. Those Designer Drugs Marketed To A Specific Need. The Drug I Had Used With Great Results Is Something I Can Get Otc In Canada, But Not From This Dr.

Dr. Lucas Has Always Provided A Great Service To Me. He Always Seems Concerned With What Is Going On What Life Style Changes I May Have Made. Very Personable, Attentive And Great Physician. I Value His Opinion And Expertise

This Phycician Made A Mistaken Initial Diagnosis And Would Not Change His Mind Even When Repeatedly Informed That My Problem Wasn't Improving With Present Course Of Drugs. He Lost His Temper And Accused Me Of "forcing Him To Change " His Diagnosis, got Up And Did A Little Jig And Grunted As If To Mock Me. After Seeing Another Physician I Was Hospitalized And Surgery Was Performed On An Infected Femoral Aorta Graft. I Spent 2 1/2 Months At University Hospital Recovering. Ego Problems? ? ?

Doctor Diagnosed Without Testing. Only Offered Full Information In Response To My Questions. Made Me Feel I Was A Nuisance. I Do Not Recommend To Anyone To See This Doctor.

Having Been In The Medical Business For 35 Years (operating Room, cardiac Cath. Lab.), I Have Learned The The Good, The Bad, And The Average. This Doctor Is The Best In His Field. I Feel Fortunate To Have The Best Medical Care; He Is Excellent!

I Like My Doctor (marvin Howard Lucas)

His Office Staff Sometimes Leaves Some Courtesy And Understanding To Be Desired, But Dr. Lucas Is Very Personable And Thorough. He Spends As Much Time With You As You Need, And He Asks Targeted Questions In A Non-threatening Manner. He's A Great Doctor To Have As A Primary Care Physician.

I Had My Semi Annual Check Up. Dr. Lucas Checked My Weight And Blood Pressure, Reviewed My Medications And Discussed A Few Questions I Had. The Answers Were Specific And Specific. I Also Had My Lungs, breathing And Circulation Checked. I Made Another Appointment. Once My Blood Test Is Reviewed Dr. Lucas Will Call Me And Send Me A Copy. It Was A Relaxed Visit.

The Visit Was What I Expected. The Office Is Busy And Efficient. The People Are Friendly And Professional.

Good Visit. Explanation Of Issues Could Be More Thorough.

Dr. Lucas Is Very Efficient. He's Honest About Admitting Whether I Should See A Specialist Or Not. Sometimes I Wish He Had More Of A Sense Of Humor, But Efficiency Is Probably Best. At Least You Know He's Taking You Seriously.

My Physician Was Very Direct And To The Point. He Was Concerned Only About My Reason For The Vist.

This Is The 1st Dr In Over 20 Years Who Actual Listens To Me, And By Listening To Me Found A Problem That Should Have Been Caught By Other Dr's I Have Seen Prior To Him. I Would Rather Wait To See Him Then Go To The Hospital To See The Dr's There, As The Medicine He Prescribes Works For Me As He Knows Me, The Medicine The Hospitals Give Me Don't Work For Me. He Knows His Stuff.... I Am Glad I Picked Him As My Doctor...

I Had To Wait More Than An Hour Past My Scheduled Appt. Time, And Then Was Never Formally Told Of My Diagnosis, Only Given A Prescription. I Was A Little Concerned Given The Nature Of My Complaints (head Congestion) That The Doctor Did Not Even Listen To My Chest/heart.

The Impression Is One Of Efficiency But Perhaps A Little Too Brisk. One Wonders If He Is Looking At The Patient As A Human Being --appearance, Demeaner Etc. But He Is Smart And Probably About The Best Available. Doesn't Miss Very Much.

My Visit To Dr. Lucas's Office Was, As Always, Very Friendly And Very Professional. The Doctor And Staff Treat Me Not As A Patient, But As A Friend. They All Remember My Name And Treat Me With Respect. The Doctor Doesn't Just Treat Me, He Seems To Be Genuinely Concerned With My Health. I Would Gladly Recommend Dr. Lucas And His Staff To Anyone In Need.

I Would Like To Say Out Of All The Yrs That I Have Been A Patient Of Dr. Lucas, He And His Staff Has Always Been Informative, Curtious And Professional. I Have Never Had A Bad Experience With This Office. Dr. Lucas And His Nurses Are Always Patient And Explains Thins To Me In Detail. I Would Definitely Recoomend Them To Others And Have Done So.

Dr. Marvin Lucas Is One Of The Most Compassionate, Caring, And Concerned Person I Have Come In Contact With. The Office Staff Is Very Professional And Courteous. Everything About My Visits Have Always Been Professional.

I Find Dr. Lucas To Lack Social Skills. It's As If He's Afraid Of People. He Does Not Want To Touch You And He's Afraid To Get Close To You. I Does Not Listen Well. Once I Was Telling Him How I Ended Up In The Hospital, And He Cut Me Off And Moved On To Something Else. He Did Not Even Know What Autism Was. That Should Have Given Me A Clue Right There. He Is Too Impersonal And Not Trust Worthy. Today My Blood Pressure Was 110/58. He Did Not Explain One Thing About The Bottom Being So Low

Easy To Talk To. Listens To What You Have To Say. Always Returns Calls!!!

Dr.lucas Has Not Only Been My Primary Care Provider, but That Of My Mother.when She Was Critically Ill,he Would Call As Well As Leaving His Personal And Private Phone Number To Contact Him 24hrs If Needed.he Still Asks About Her Condition 5 Years Later.

My Visit Was Prompt And Efficient. I Am Satisfied With The Information Which I Received.

Dr Lucas On Each And Every One Of My Visits Has Been Late. A Few Visits Have Been A Last Min Appt.he Should Treat Everyones Time With Respect. My Wait Time For This Visit Was 43 Min In The Waiting Room And 17 Min In The Actual Exam Room. Other Than His Constant Tardiness, I Think He Is A Good Doctor. He Will Answer Questions And He Has Spent A Fair Amount Of Time With Me As A Patient. So I Would Recommend Him, However I Would Also Share The Fact That He Runs Behind While Seeing His Patients.

Dr. Lucas Is Always Kindly And Is Very Efficient In Explaining Things And Answering Questions. He Is Very Professional And Up To Date. He Is Rather Quiet In Manner Sometimes Which Is A Little Different Than The Doctor I Saw Before I Started Seeing Him. We Have Had To Sort Of Get Used To One Another. But I Would Definitely Recommend Him As A Good Doctor. I Did Have To Wait Longer Than I Have Ever Waited Before But Usually Wait Is Not Too Long.

I Thought The Visit To My Doctor Concerning My Diagnosis Was And Always Will Be Worth The Drive Down From Dayton, Ohio. I Much Rather Drive To This Office, And Know That I Will Be Taken Care Of In A Professional Manner And Be In Good Hands With Someone I Trust.

I Would Like To Be Seen On A More Timly Manor.i M Usually Seen About 30 Minutes After My Appointment. My Time Is Important Too. I Also Remind You That I Am Paying The Bill And If I Don't Get Service At The Store I Don't Go Back.

My Primary Physician Was Not In Today So I Scheduled My Visit With Dr. Lucas. He Was Professional And Friendly. The Office Staff Was Courteous And My Time In The Waiting Room Was Only Ten Minutes, And My Time In The Patient Room Was Appoximately Five Minutes. I Was Pleased With My Visit.

Dr. Lucas Has Been My Primary Care Physician For Several Years. I Am Satisfied With The Services Provided To Me.

Dr. Lucas Never Makes Me Feel Rushed, Listens Carefully, And Explains Clearly. I Am Seen Within 15 Minutes, Or Less. He Promptly Returns Pnone Calls, To Me Or My Pharmacy. When I Say Promptly-i Mean The Same Day. ( That Is Rare In Todays' Health Care System. Only One Concern Witht The Office, Specifically In Regards To An Assistant Who Took My Vital Signs Inaccurately. (bp, Pulse, Weight)- I Told This To Dr. Lucas, And He Re-checked Them Himself. I Am Very Lucky To Have Him As My Pcp!

Everything Was Perfect. I Am Overwhelmed With The Exceptional Service By Dr. Lucas. What More Can I Say?
