Yesterday I went for some much needed Christmas shopping and lunch with just the girls.  It was also my first time away from my son with a sitter that was not family.  I was comforted because I ride with her mom at my barn.  She's a dedicated dancer so I thought her dedication hopefully must reflect that she's responsible and committed to something?.  Luckily that worked out well and he was pretty good for her all day.  I didn't get to do as much shopping with the girls as I'd like because my time is very precious now and I had a list a mile long of Christmas gifts I had to buy.  This meant splitting up with the girls to get as much done as possible in a narrow window of time.  Unfortunately I still didn't get much finished because the lines are already so long for everything!  We did, however, enjoy a nice lunch together at the Cheesecake Factory.  I like their menu because they have one that's devoted purely to the person that eats low-fat meals.  The problem is their salads and entrees are still mentioned as being at least under 490 calories...UMMM WHAT?!  That's the total amount of calories for two of my meals in a day!  I ended up ordering a Caesar salad plain with just the cheese and croutons as my flavor since I knew I was going to have a salad at dinner with light dressing.  I ended up ordering the Skinnilicious Asian Lettuce Wraps with no sauce but the marinade they put on their grilled chicken.  This meant that all I had in my wrap was the lettuce, carrots, bean sprouts, Chinese rice noodles, and chicken.  I ate all three but took out a portion of chicken in third because I think I had had my full 2 oz. of protein.  Don't laugh; but this is one of my FIRST completely on my own meals, dining out, in I don't know how long - 9 months?.  My body has been so messed up since delivery that I've been crazy with caution.  This morning I didn't gain...we'll see what the scale shows tomorrow...
