Did you hear who the new Jenny Craig Spokeswoman is?!  Mariah Carey!  Kirstie Alley was the one who inspired me to try Jenny Craig.  I bet Mariah's 30 pound weight loss will inspire many others to join as well.  I believe in the philosophy of this company and I can't say enough positive things about it.  Mariah said that many weight loss companies contacted her to try their diet plans but she felt a kinship with JC because all the executives she spoke with had similar struggles and emotional battles with weight loss.  The more you can connect with people that went through experiences like yours the more likely you are to want to develop a relationship with them.  The same principle goes for choosing a consultant.  If you have some size 2 consultant that never fought the battle of the bulge then you are going to have a difficult time taking advice and identifying with him or her.  I also thought it was more realistic reading that Mariah only exercises 4-5 times a week with water aerobics.  I find it very hard to relate to stars that have grueling workouts for many hours several hours a day (typically with a trainer).  Most of us cannot afford that nor is it realistic because so many of us work!  She did lose a lot quickly (30 pounds) from July to November.  It took me a year to lose 28 pounds.  But, I also know she had edema (extreme swelling from water weight) and gestational diabetes so her 70 pound weight gain was going to have her lose the first several pounds quite quickly.  Congratulations to both Jenny and Mariah - what a great partnership I bet it will be!  Hopefully she will motivate others to get healthy too!

3/4 cup strawberries

Dinner -

JC Rising Crust Pizza

Salad (mixed greens, peppers, mushrooms, and tomatoes) 2 tbsp. light ranch

Snack -

JC Triple Chocolate Cheesecake
