So many of us want to drop the pounds quickly and be done with dieting.  But, let's be honest, do the pounds stay off if you lose a lot too quickly?  When I used to do the Atkins diet I would lose 30 pounds in just a few weeks.  I could never keep up with all protein and no starch so usually I would binge on a carb and be right back to where I was or even heavier sometimes.  Then you look at the success rate of Jenny Craig and how it has taken me almost a year to lose 30 pounds.  Which do you think is probably more lifelong?  Research shows thaat a half pound to a pound per week is what is healthy and more lasting in order to get rid of body fat.  In order to LOSE one pound you have to burn 3500 excess calories (which is about 500 calories per day).

Apple

Dinner -

JC Chicken Carbonara

Salad (mixed greens, peppers, mushrooms) 2 tbsp. light ranch

JC Lemon Mousse Bar
