We had field day yesterday and it was extremely hot.  But, it still was unbelievable to me how many kids dropped like flies after the first station!  There was a lot of physical activity at each station, however, I thought kids had a little more energy than that?.  It makes me wonder if kids just aren't used to exercise anymore.  Those video games, texting, and facebook have kids stationary; consumed by technology.  Where is all the imagination and inventive play nowadays?  According to kids.org 1 out of every 3 kids is obese!  The best thing you can do for your child is first and foremost to be a good role model.  Cook healthy meals and be active as a family.  Bike riding, corn hole, swimming, walking the dog, promoting sports, alloting how much time is spent on technology are all ways to help reduce the risk of obesity.

1 cup fat-free milk

Snack -

JC Anytime Bar

Lunch-

JC Pesto Pizza

Carrots and tomatoes

Dinner -

JC Lasagna

Broccoli with 1 tbsp. margarine

Snack -

JC Brownie
