What will help you be successful and reach your goal weight?  There are lots of different things that factor into this but one of them is a positive support person.  Whether it's your husband, friend, parent, counselor, Jenny Craig consultant, etc.  I have heard plenty of times that someone was not successful because they didn't have people that supported them.  Whether it was friends that were constantly pressuring them to eat or drink things off their healthy diet regime or consultants that they felt were looking down on them, being too critical, making them feel like idiots, you name it I've probably heard it.  Overall my consultant and I get along extremely well.  She is always looking for ways to "attack" my body when it plateaus.  Sometimes I do feel like we have been together for too long - it has both postives and negatives.  I think it has been three years now?.  We probably both have gotten too comfortable with one another and say things that are not appropriate for a session on what's supposed to be about, "how was your week?  any food/exercise challenges?"  We frequently get off topic discussing just normal things about our lives; which isn't necessarily a bad thing.  But, sometimes I can become irritated with something she's said (which happens eventually in any relationship) and I really think that's because we've become so close and gotten to know each other so well (which again, isn't always a bad thing).  But, I hate confrontation and don't know if it's appropriate to tell my consultant she's said something to upset me. 

In reality though, I've learned you do need to speak up for yourself to your family, friends, consultant, etc. if their behavior is hindering your progress.  You need to surround yourself with positivity so you can reach your goal.  If you aren't honest with these people then your relationship will become toxic and it will become more difficult to keep an open-mind and continue the hard work that it takes to remain focused.  My point?  Be up-front, honest, and try to surround yourself with people that help you stay motivated.  Keep up the great work!  It's definitely very difficult to remain driven and achieve what your goals!  And, no matter what, my consultant is a huge aspect to why I've been successful; which I appreciate immensely.
