4/15/15 Katie's Healthy Eating Journal: Friday

by Katie (Jenny Craig 2009 Poster Girl) 15. April 2014 19:42

I did it!  I made my son cry it out when he woke up at 11:30 for 15 minutes.  Now granted he still cried.  At the 15 minute mark I got up and put the bottle in his mouth only for a moment and then he zonked out.  He at least slept until 5 which feels like a glorious amount of sleep these days!  We will try the 15 minute cry again tonight and tomorrow.  Keep your fingers crossed that FJ slowly begins to fall back asleep on his own.  I also think he's teething which isn't helping the nighttime fussiness.  Our doctor says Oragel for babies doesn't really help and it's not all that good for them.  So, we're going to stick to having him suck onto cold things unless he's really irritable and then I'll give him some baby Tylenol.  Be careful, our son got a little infection under the fat rolls in his neck.  When babies are teething they drool a lot and the poor little guy kept getting it stuck there.  LOL, we put a little diaper rash cream on it and it went right away!
