2/18/15 Katie's Healthy Eating Journal: Friday

This afternoon we leave for our 8th annual gatlinburg trip with three other couples.  When I was a junior in college my boyfriend (who is my husband now) wanted to surprise me for Valentine's Day and take me to Gatlinburg, TN and get a cabin in the mountains.  Our best friends were dating and we decided to invite them as well.  Since that year we have gone every year but one.  Two years after our first trip he proposed there as well.  Needless to say we have made a lot of memories there.  Last year I was pregnant and that was pretty much awful.  When we go down there for our long weekend it's pretty much an excuse to still act like a bunch of college kids.  There's a lot of beverages, games, dancing, shopping, eating, and (only for my husband and me) hiking.  Everyone else feels too "rough" to make it up a mountain the next day.  I'm excited to have some time just with my husband and friends but I have some MAJOR anxiety about leaving my son for supposedly three nights.  If I were a betting girl, I'd bet that we only do two nights and come back Sunday!  We'll see what happens.  Tomorrow I will blog about how I prepare for this short vacation with so much overindulging...

1 cup coffee with 2 tsp. fat-free creamer

Snack -

JC Oatmeal Raisin Bar

Lunch -

JC Turkey Panini

Carrots

Snack -

1/2 cup blueberries

Dinner -

Subway:  6 in. whole wheat, turkey, mustard, peppers, onions, lettuce, tomato, cucumber

Snack -

3 beverages

Munched on some Fiber One Plain Cereal
