It’s not a life-threatening topic, but finding the perfect jeans for your shape can make or break your self-esteem when you are getting dressed for an evening out on the town.   As your shape evolves and changes through your clean eating diet and exercise, your body shape changes as well.  Your waist may be smaller; your thighs may be more muscular (more for men).  I’ll give you some tips to find the right fit for you.

If you are very tall, it’s hard to find a good fit in jeans.  You need to find a brand that specializes in longer in-seams.  Also look for jeans with a higher rise that can flatter a longer torso.  Steer toward a boot cut rather than skinny jeans which just make your longer legs look gargantuan. 

If you’re petite, no standard jeans seems to fit.  Many manufacturers have petite lines.  You’re a bit more flexible with flattering cuts for the jeans.  Don’t go with bottoms that are over belled, or they make you look shorter. Try to find a pair with a subtle faded wash down the front.  This will make your legs look longer.

If you have an apple shape, choose a cut that isn’t too belled at the bottom.  It makes your curves in the middle seem more obvious.  Legging jeans, with a shirt un tucked and heels can be a flattering look.  Boyfriends jeans are fun, but don’t overdo the ‘baggy’ look or you’ll look like your wearing a man’s pair of jeans.   

An athletic build has a lot of choices that look great.  A flared silhouette can draw attention away from a developed thigh while accentuating your waist.

If you are curvy, normal jeans will fit your waist, but not in the bottom or vice-versa.  Find a jean with a little stretch in the fabric.  Look for a gentle boot cut, and try to pair with a heeled boot or pumps if they don’t hurt your feet.  Don’t let the jeans drag on the floor.  It doesn’t draw attention to your most flattering parts.

The bottom line is that there are so many choices out there now, that with some investigation and patience, you can find a pair of jeans in a wash that you like, a fit that rocks and you’re ready to dance the night away!

8 oz green vegetables ( raw or steamed) (88 cal)

1/2 tsp uda or flax oil ( 65 cal)

no calorie or reduced sugar diabetic salad dressing

Snack:

3 oz potatoes ( boiled in skin) (64 oz)

8 oz green vegetables ( raw or steamed ) (88 cal)

Dinner:

-3 oz. Halibut (broiled) (145 cal)

3 oz beans, Lima (frozen, thawed) (104 cal)

8 oz greens (assorted) ( 88 cal)

1/2 tsp Uda's or flax oil ( 65 cal)

TOTAL CALORIES: 1551
