I woke up this morning to a beautiful layer of snow on the ground.  Yes, I am stuck in the house again but today I am going to take advantage of this snow.  The dogs LOVE a good hike in the snow.  it is a blast watching them leap and bound through it.  Did you know a hike in the snow burns approximately 119 calories per 15 minutes - I usually go for 45 - 50 minutes so this is almost 400 calories!  While I'm on Jenny Craig I know pretty much exactly how many calories I am eating per meal.  Usually their meals are around 270 calories.  Wow, so basically I've almost worked off 2 meals when I take the dogs out in the snow.  You may not have the luxury of living on a farm with many steep hills for vigorous outdoor workout but you probably have parks nearby.  Get out and use this snow to help achieve your weight loss goal...especially in the middle of the holidays.  The more exercise the better during these next few weeks.  JC claims that most people actually lose more on the program during the holidays.  I asked why and they said they were usually more vigilant during this time with everything they ate as well as working out.  Those that gained: alcohol, they were unwilling to give it up.  Be careful of your alcohol intake.  It is considered a fat so when you usually have your light dressing or margarine serving once a day, one glass of wine equals this.  Avoid beer, it's too heavy with too many calories.  Stick to a rum or vodka with diet pop or tonic water.  Don't do desserts if you are going to have alcohol.  Fill up on as much veggies as possible on those evenings.

Carrots

Sugar-free Jello

JC Chicken Marsala

Snack - 

Apple

Dinner - 

JC Rising Crust Pizza

Salad (mixed greens, peppers, mushrooms) 2 tbsp. light ranch

Snack - 

JC White Cheddar Popcorn
