10/15/14 Katie's Healthy Eating Journal: Monday

Today I'm officially 40 weeks!  It is my due date!  I have a lot of emotions that are tied to this date...I realize it is very seldom that people go on their actual due date.  However, to me, it was an endpoint.  A light at the end of the tunnel.  The fact that I'm still sitting here uncomfortable and bored (because all I can do is sit here from being uncomfortable and exhausted all the time...but my mind wants to hang out with her friends, be social, and have fun!) is a little depressing.  Today we went in for an ultrasound and stress test.  Don't get me wrong; I am so grateful that his heart rate is near perfect and he has TONS of amniotic fluid in there but geez louise!  He is NEVER going to want to come out at this rate!  He's too cozy!  Lol, sometimes I wonder if he'll ever come out.  I become so jealous at girls I know that had similar due dates and their babies are already here.  On the other hand, I know how crazy I am because I am down to probably a week or even days and he will be here but after 10 months these last few days feel insufferable.  I pray every night that my water will break.  Thank goodness I have wonderful friends and family who had similar experiences or who have just been great at listening to me whine and complain!

MONDAY

Breakfast - 

100 cal English Muffin, 1/2 cup Break-free eggs

Banana

1 cup fat-free organic milk

Lunch - 

1 whole wheat pita, 2 tbps. hummus, cucumbers, tomatoes

Carrots

Fat-free yogurt

Snack - 

Apple

Dinner - 

2 oz. grilled chicken, 1 cup stuffing

Broccoli with 1 tbsp. margarine
