9/20/14 Katie's Healthy Eating Journal: Monday

This weekend my husband and I took the dogs on a hike since I wasn't feeling too poorly.  It was a beautiful day and we made sure to go early in the morning so I wouldn't get overheated.  It was amazing, I felt a little normal for a minute.  The dogs were running with smiles on their faces and the best part about it was we took them over to our pond to swim.  I threw sticks in the middle of the pond and they swam out to them.  It sounds corny I'm sure but one of my dogs has been confined since the first week in July for a torn ACL.  She just finally in the past few weeks has stopped limping and we were given the "OK" by our vet to start letting her be active again.  So this summer when we usually would take her swimming several times a week we couldn't.  It worked out because most days it was so hot I couldn't be outside anyway due to the pregnancy.  Needless to say, I was given a glimpse of something I love to do and it felt like a little "normalcy."  I am so excited to share these hikes with our son one day.  We ended up hiking for an hour which shocked me since I have zero energy.  I made up for it when I got home by sleeping for a solid 2 hours!!!!

MONDAY

Breakfast - 

100 cal English Muffin, 1/4 cup Break-free eggs, 1 Morning Star Veggie Sausage

1 cup fat-free organic milk

3/4 cup strawberries

Lunch - 

Lean Cuisine Pizza

Carrots

Fat-free yogurt

Snack - 

Apple 

Slice of whole wheat bread with 2 tbsp. light peanut butter

Dinner - 

2 oz. pork roast with 1 cup red potatoes and carrots (water, pepper, and salt were added to the crockpot)

Snack - 

1/8 crustless pumpkin pie low-fat
