9/16/14 Katie's Healthy Eating Journal: Sunday

Week 36!  Whooo!  At the end of this week it will be safe to safe I have carried full term and if he happens to make an appearance he will not be considered a "premie."  According to babycenter.com our son is shedding the waxy film he had on his skin that was a protective to the amniotic fluid as well as the soft hair that coated his skin.  As these things are shed he ingests them and it builds into what will be his first bowel movement.  For some women as the baby makes his way into the birthing canal there's more pressure in the vaginal and pelvic area...yep, check.  Walking around school for me can be painful because it feels as if this huge mass is in between my legs.  I feel constant pressure and I now have to pee about every 20 minutes because of all this pressure.  I have always been a person who goes to the bathroom a lot but every 20 minutes gets pretty annoying - especially when I feel like it takes me an hour just to get up!  Overall I doing pretty well, just exhausted and uncomfortable, so my goal is to try and teach until the delivery.
