After talking to my friend who is always honest with me and challenges me to be a better person I had to erase part of Sunday's blog. It was on the topic of registries. I decided to delete it for the mere chance I would hurt anyone's feelings which would never be my intention. I do want to say that showers are a way for others to shower you with their love, affection, and express their excitement of the upcoming birth. I don't think anyone ever "expects" people to buy you gifts (but I will be honest when I say I enjoy them!) but all are appreciated because they were heartfelt and any amount of money in these difficult times is a kind gesture. The tip I would like to say for expectant Mom's (who I would assume is usually my target audience) is to do your registry online. My husband and I spent four horrible hours in there with not a clue as to what to even put on it. It can be painful for pregnant women because you become overwhelmed, extremely uncomfortable, hot (which then leads to nauseousness), and possibly have swollen feet by the end. The truth is, you can hope you will get some of the items on your list, but many people (as do I) prefer to be creative and original. It doesn't matter about the registry because as long as you are able to celebrate with ones that you love that is what you will remember. Those people are what makes the memories. If there are items you still need be creative - seek other family or friends or even try work colleagues. TUESDAY Breakfast - 100 cal English Muffin, 1/4 cup Break-free eggs, 1 Morning Star Veggie Sausage Banana 1 cup fat-free organic milk Lunch - 2 slices whole wheat bread, lettuce, tomato, fat-free mayo, slice of fat-free cheddar cheese Fat-free yogurt Snack - Plum Dinner - Low cal sausage and egg casserole (egg whites, turkey sausage, and low-fat cheese) Snack - Skinny Cow
