This evening I went to visit my parents, particularly my Dad. I'm so grateful that he is feeling even a little better! This could mean good things! He still has horrible pain where they drilled a hole in his hip but overall he thinks his surgery may have worked! I hope so because after four other surgeries you start to lose faith that back surgeries really work. The doctor has given him the OK to walk short distances daily and even drive short distances! His voice sounds more hopeful and not in as much pain. I'm going to pray that maybe this surgery gave him the relief he needed. Whew, what a huge pressure off my shoulders if he starts to feel even slightly better than he did before the surgery! SUNDAY Breakfast - 2 Kashi Waffles with sliced strawberries, margarine, and a little TruVia on top 1 cup fat-free organic milk Lunch - 2 tbsp. hummus in a whole wheat pita with tomatoes and lettuce Fat-free yogurt Snack - 3/4 cup watermelon Dinner - 2 oz. grilled pork chop 1 cup mashed potatoes Grilled asparagus with spray butter Snack - 100 calorie popcorn
