This weekend we are throwing my Grandma's 80th birthday party. Can you believe it?! 80 years old and she is as healthy as can be! She lives on a condo on the third floor and her doctor's credit this to helping maintain a healthy heart. She walks those stairs several times a day. Not only is she extremely active but she tries to eat healthy. She does not eat a lot (she has never had a big appetite) but she tries to eat a little of everything to maintain a balance of food groups. I hope that trying to live healthy now will help me to be able to live as long and healthy as my Grandma. Health is so important and many of us, including myself, think only of the effects it has on us for short-term purposes; but what we choose to do now has lasting effects on us the rest of our lives. THURSDAY Breakfast - 100 calorie English Muffin, 1/8 Break-free Eggs, 1 slice of Healthy Choice Ham Banana 1 cup fat-free organic milk Lunch - Cedarlane Bean & Cheese Burrito Celery Fat-free yogurt Snack - Apple Dinner - 2 oz. whole wheat pasta, light marinara Salad (romaine, tomatoes, croutons) 2 tbsp. light ranch Snack - Skinny Cow
