3/24/14 Katie's Healthy Eating Journal: Wednesday

by Katie (Jenny Craig 2009 Poster Girl) 24. March 2013 22:43

Today I chose to take advantage of the beautiful day! I actually just heard a study reported on the radio that the average woman in America weighs 162 pounds with a height of 5'3"! Women are no longer getting enough physical activity. In the past, women ran all day after children, kept up with laborious housework, and gardened. The study mentioned that now many women are stuck behind a desk all day and are just too tired to exercise by the end of the work day. I can definitely agree with being exhausted after work. It does take more effort during the work week for me to get out and increase my heart rate. Luckily, as spring moves in the warmer weather and beautiful sunshine helps entice me to get out and and stop sitting on the couch all evening! I set out this evening to just walk a brief two miles (about 20-25 mins) but my energy doubled as I got outside with my dogs and ended up getting in a good 40 minute workout, 4 miles. You, too, can do it...some days it just takes more of a "push" than others.
