12/31/12- Paula's Eating/Exercise Journal: Thursday

New Years Eve is a time for looking back and evaluating your year.  Man, it's been a duzzie this year.  Extreme highs and lows.  I met a man that I dearly love and I adore his children.  I've spent money and mental anguish trying to move on from a previous life experience.  I know, thats alot of information.  But, to put it all into perspective in relation to this blog, I have to say that I am proud that I continued to expand and fine to my clean eating and exercise.

The clean eating helped me adjust my eating plan to absorb a lowering metabolism as I age.  I enjoy the challenge of new taste and nutrition that doesn't involve as many processed foods.  My taste buds have become sharper.  I enjoy my food.  I don't feel bad about what I eat.  I enjoy treats but have moved most of my diet into seafood, vegetables and low fat diary.  I have gained alot about the theory of clean eating through periodicals that I've read and interacting with others.

Exercise has always been important to me, and this year it was even more critical.  It has helped me maintain my physique ( which in turn helps my self esteem- like it or not, thats the way I am), and has immensely helped my mental state.  I never allowed the negative issues I spoke of earlier to take over my mind.  I didn't need to use anti-depressants ( though there is nothing wrong with their use for others) or turn to alcohol to deal with the stress.  I love to exercise.  I love to share my passion for it with others( I hope you enjoy it too).  I always look for ways to improve and to try new classes or equipment.

So, stay with me and my blogs into 2010, and lets continue to learn and to improve, together!

* I'm on a getaway with my family so I'm not blogging the eating/exercise diary till Monday.  I am walking and doing weight bearing exercises but I don't want to take away from time with my family to mark it all down.
