I was thinking back to previous holidays and I have another "overweight" memory to share.  In high school and college we would go to my Dad's family an hour away.  He has eight brothers and sisters and needless, to say, the amount of food at family gatherings is CRAZY!  My parents knew I was constantly battling my weight and were heartbroken that I was working out so often and trying to eat healthy with no success.  When we would go to the parties I found myself reporting back to my parents how I did because I was so proud of myself.  "Mom, Dad, I didn't have a single dessert tonight."  They were so proud of me because who wouldn't think it's hard to stay away from a table oozing with chocolatey desserts?!  I felt a sense of accomplishment being able to avoid sweets on those nights.  However, looking back, it saddens me.  I was a young girl and even still, focused and waging war on my weight.  It has seemed like a battle I've been engaging in since I can remember.  It would be different if I wasn't active and didn't have a family that promoted healthy eating.  But, instead, it appeared I just have one of the worst metabolisms on the planet.  I hope when I have kids one day they don't have to go through what I did.

Weight - 119.6 lbs.

SUNDAY

Breakfast - 

100 whole wheat English Muffin

1 Morning Star Veggie

1/4 cup Break-free Egg

Banana

1 cup fat-free milk

Lunch - 

1 small baked potato with spray butter and broccoli

fat-free yogurt

sugar-free jello

Snack - 

Plum

Dinner - 

2 oz. salmon

1 cup whole grain rice with garlic 1 tsp. olive oil

Salad (mixed greens, peppers, mushrooms)

2 tbsp. light ranch

Snack - 

100 calorie pack
