This morning I was reading more of Valerie Bertinelli's book Finding It and I must say, it was a great idea to read it since she's going through maintenance like me.  It was nice to know I'm not the only crazy one.  She discusses family gatherings and social atmospheres that all center around food.  She goes through the same worries and anxieties as me.  Sometimes getting my feelings out here for the world to see is scary and I wonder if I'm the only one with these weight demons or if others out there can relate.  I do hope you know food/weight are only one percentage of my life.  There's much more interesting things to me besides these two topics.  It just so happens this blog is a food journal so it would only make sense to relate most of my posts to something I've learned or am going/have gone through.  Please, please feel free to leave comments, questions, or opinions.  It is nice to hear what you think about my posts as well.  I know a lot of you are reading them because I'm getting a lot of hits on the site!  Laughing  

In Valerie's book she makes a comment about how annoying it is always thinking about food and portion control.  She goes onto discuss maintenance and how shocked she is because she thought once she hit her goal weight she didn't have to be so vigilant.  Wrong.  She realized it was hard work and I'm realizing that too.  It apparently never ends.  Haha, how's that for comforting?  It's all about moderation and balance and I guess once I have that mastered maybe it will get better?

Weight - 119.4 lbs.

Exercise - 40 mins. Tae-Bo Billy Blanks Cardio DVD

 

TUESDAY

Breakfast - 

3/4 cup Kashi Honey Toasted Oat Cereal (120 cal, 1.5g fat, 5g sugar)

1 cup fat-free organic milk

Banana

Snack - 

JC Peanut Butter Vitamin Bar

Lunch -

1 cup Progresso low-sodium chicken noodle soup

DINED OUT

Larosa's garden salad (iceberg, tomato, croutons, mozzarella)

fat-free ranch

Snack - 

Orange

Dinner -

1 serving of: 

Garden Style Lasagna

Salad (mixed greens, tomato, green onion, pepper)

2 tbsp. light ranch

Snack - 

100 calorie pack

1 cup sugar free hot chocolate
