I was recently asked what were good sources of protein if you were not a big meat lover.  Here are some ideas:

- tofu cut up to sautee in about 1 tbsp. olive oil

- Gardenburger products

- Boca burger products

- fish, shrimp, scallops

- hummus

- black or kidney beans

                                - garbonzo or chickpeas

Cheese can be a good source of protein but it is dangerous to have too much.  Meaning, I am a big cheese lover and once I add it to a salad one night I find myself doing it everynight.  Just be careful about cheese (JC recommended me to avoid it as much as possible!).  When you are going to eat it try to do low-fat or even better, fat-free.  Follow the serving size!

Fun and exciting news!  My friend from school that is trying my diet has just lost two pounds in one and a half weeks!!!!
