8/20/13 Katie's Healthy Eating Journal: Thursday

by Katie (Jenny Craig 2009 Poster Girl) 20. August 2012 21:15

Some tips my Jenny Craig consultant suggested for me to stay healthy and maintain my weight were:

1.  Remain active.  Not only is exercising good for my body but it is good for my mind.  Exercise helps reduce my stress and improve my mood. Trying to incorporate it into my lifestyle with things I enjoy makes it easier for me.  For example, being with my husband and dogs and outside.  This is why so much of my exercise is centered around walking or hiking.

2.  Develop a strong support system.  Surrounding myself with people that encourage and advocate my healthy eating helps me feel more confident.  I want to make good choices about what I eat in no matter what situation I am in and it makes the experience more pleasurable if the people I care want me to succeed.

3.  Take multivitamins.

4.  Get a lot of sleep.

5.  Eat all the staple foods I write about in my food journal and 3 meals with two snacks per day, even if I'm not hungry.
