How many calories are in a bottle of wine?

I don't know if many of you are big wine drinkers; I am not because I get bad headaches from it.  However, typically it always seems that when someone has a glass of wine it ends up being two or three.  I don't know if this is because I am younger and my friends are still big drinkers since they do not yet have families?  I may have two glasses of rum and diet coke but those are, on average, about 65 calories per glass.  As I watch my friends and family go through a bottle of wine I cringe.  This can be approximately 300-600 calories depending on the alcohol content and type of wine.  300-600 calories! That could practically be a whole meal and or a half of your entire calorie intake for the day!  The higher the alcohol content the higher the calories.  If you are trying to lose weight you should really stay away from alcohol as much as possible.  Even I am in maintenance and I try to avoid it because I know it really affects my weight gain.

Find out tomorrow tips on how to avoid the temptations of appetizers at parties...
